LADIES LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS,
THE CITY OF IRVINE HAS APPROVED $150,000 OF THE ESTIMATED $387,000 COSTS FOR A PERMANMENT NORTHWOOD MEMORIAL AT NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARK. THIS WILL INCLUDE A NEW ARC SHAPED NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARK SIGN FACING YALE AND BRYAN, WITH THE INTERIOR WALL OF THE SIGN AS A MEMORIAL, WITH THE NAMES OF THOSE FALLEN, A SMALL PLAZA AREA, A SEAT WALL AND A U.S. FLAG POLE. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS TO FINALIZE THE ORIGINAL CONCEPT DESIGN AND ATTEMPTING TO REDUCE THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATED COSTS.

NORTHWOOD "GRATITUDE AND HONOR" MEMORIAL donations:
The Irvine Community Alliance Fund (ICAF), is a non-profit organization affiliated with the City of Irvine, Community Services Department, related to donations of tax deductible funds. Donors can make their checks payable as follows:
IRVINE COMMUNITY ALLIANCE FUND, writing “NORTHWOOD MEMORIAL” on the memo line or top of the check. Donors should send the checks to: ICAF, One Civic Center Plaza , Irvine , 92606.

Donors will receive a thank-you letter with the tax identification number. Donations are tax deductible as allowable by the IRS. It is preferable to send a letter or note with the check, designating where the funds are to be applied.
The entire donation goes to the NORTHWOOD MEMORIAL, no administrative costs are deducted from the donation. A separate account has been established within the City’s accounting system for the NORTHWOOD MEMORIAL funds; donations will be deposited there.
